How to use LiveLingo

One person speaks in English. Everyone else reads the translation on their own phone, line by line, as it is said.

If you are the speaker

Sign in
Tap “Speaker sign in”, type your email and a 6-digit code of your choice. If it is your first time, this creates your account.

Name your session and pick a language
On the home page, type a session name (for example “Sunday service”) and choose the language your listeners should read.

Create the session
Tap “Create session”. You get a short code on screen, like ABC123.

Share the code
Read the code out loud, write it on a screen, or send the link. Anyone can join with it — no account needed.

Allow the microphone
Tap “Start speaking” and choose Allow when your phone asks for the microphone. If you blocked it before, allow it again in your browser’s site settings.

Talk normally in English
Speak in short, natural sentences. Your words are translated while you talk, and every finished sentence is saved to the transcript.

Finish
Tap “Stop” when you are done. The transcript stays available for anyone who has the code.

Get the code
Ask the speaker for the short session code, for example ABC123.

Open the app
Open LiveLingo on your own phone. No account and no sign-in needed.

Enter the code
Type the code in “Join as a guest” on the home page, or use “Enter group code” in the menu at the top from any page.

Read along
The line being spoken right now appears highlighted at the top, and finished lines build up below it as the talk goes on.

Keep your screen awake
Leave the page open. If you close it by accident, enter the code again — nothing is lost.

Nothing is being picked up: check that the microphone is allowed for this site, then stop and start speaking again.
Guests see nothing: make sure everyone typed the exact same code, and that the speaker has tapped “Start speaking”.
Wrong language: the language is chosen when the session is created. Create a new session to switch.
Sign-in keeps failing: the code is exactly 6 numbers. If the email already exists with a different code, ask the administrator to reset it.
